NEUROLOGICAL REHABILITATION
Neurological rehabilitation is the process of coping with physical, psychological or cognitive disorders caused by neurological diseases in body structure and functions. The main goal within the scope of rehabilitation practices is to make a patient-centered assessment, to create a meaningful treatment plan for the factors that cause movement disorder, and to implement the necessary physiotherapy and rehabilitation interventions.
The main diseases in which neurological rehabilitation is applied are:
• Cerebro vascular diseases (CVO)
• Cerebral Palsy (CP)
• Paraplegia and Tetraplegia
• Stroke-Hemiplegia
• Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
• Parkinson's syndrome
• Neuromuscular diseases
• Medulla spinalis injuries.
ORTHOPEDIC REHABILITATION
Orthopedic rehabilitation treats pathologies caused by musculoskeletal injuries and degenerative joint diseases.
Many pathologies concerning the musculoskeletal system, conservative and post-surgical pathologies are in the field of orthopedic rehabilitation. The aim of rehabilitation is to make the patient independent in daily life by restoring the physical, mental and occupational problems. Basically, it is aimed to gain and increase pain, edema, joint range of motion, and gain and increase muscle strength.
FRACTURES
• Meniscus and ligament injuries in the knee
• Rheumatic diseases
• low back pain and spine surgery
• Scoliosis (curvature of the spine)
• Frozen Shoulder -Adhesive Capsulitis
• Impingement
• Tendon injury
• Calcification pathologies are within the scope of Orthopedic rehabilitation.
PEDIATRIC REHABILITATION
Children's Physical Therapy Applications Service
With the Pediatric Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Unit opened in Aktıp Hospital, children can see physical therapy sessions with specialist physicians and physiotherapists and provide pediatric rehabilitation, robotic equine therapy and space therapy, etc. applications are supported to improve their recovery.
Pediatric rehabilitation includes all of the physiotherapy techniques used in the treatment of musculoskeletal or neurological disorders that occur before birth due to reasons such as smoking, drugs, alcohol, maternal hypertension, during or after birth. Diseases that can be treated with pediatric rehabilitation are as follows: Cerebral palsy (Cerebral palsy), Spina bfida, Hydrocephalus, Muscular Dystrophy, Brachial plexus, Torticollis. In order to eliminate the problems that arise in children and to develop existing functions, it is aimed to follow the motor development steps (holding head up, sitting, crawling, walking, grasping, etc.) in accordance with the age and to gain them in order. Early treatment in children increases the chance of success in treatment.
ROBOTIC HORSE REHABILITATION
It is a treatment method applied in support of physical therapy as it contributes to the development of perception and physical and neurological functions of patients with physical, mental or sensory disorders. Increases head and trunk control, Increases pelvic and lumbar joint mobility, Reduces pathological reflexes by reducing spasticity and contractures, Improves trunk balance, Increases self-confidence.
Disorders in which robotic horse rehabilitation is applied:
• Cerebral palsy
• Multiple sclerosis
• Spinal cord injuries
• Musculoskeletal System Diseases
• Down Syndrome
• Scoliosis
• Cerebral Palsy
• Autism
• Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
• Mental Retardation (Intelligence Retardation)
• Speech Disorders
SPACE THERAPY REHABILITATION
It is a treatment method developed in recent years and used in many neurological diseases such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, hydrocephalus. In space therapy, a cage and a suit called a specially produced suit are used. By eliminating gravity, the load on the muscles and bones is reduced, and it is used to provide the proprioceptive inputs necessary for the normal posture of the body.
LUMBAR HERNIA REHABILITATION
As a result of slipping or tearing of the discs between the vertebrae in our lumbar region, which can be caused by many different reasons such as strain, falling, lifting heavy loads, spinal nerves can come out from between our vertebrae. In such a case, the nerves trapped between the vertebrae cause pain in the waist, hip and leg areas of our body.
Staying immobile for a long time at the desk, driving for a long time, excessive weight gain and pregnancy are among the factors that increase the risk of herniated disc. Chiropractic treatment, deep tissue massage, hot or cold treatments, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, traction and exercise are applied in herniated disc. The aim of physical therapy is to control the complaints and prevent the recurrence of low back pain attacks.
NECK HERNIA REHABILITATION
Neck hernia is the pressure on the spinal cord and nerves separated from the spinal cord due to wear, tear or displacement of the discs in the neck vertebrae due to various reasons. Hot applications, ultrasound, laser, pain relief and muscle strengthening current treatments, massage, mobilization, manual therapy, Hiltherapy (high-intensity laser therapy), dry needling, taping, traction (classical and vertical traction-vertetrac) are the most commonly used treatment methods. As complementary and supportive treatment methods, acupuncture, neural therapy, cupping therapy and ozone therapy can also be used in the treatment of neck hernia.
KINESIOLOGICAL TAPE
Kinesiology taping treatment is applied to reduce pain, strengthen muscles and protect joints. With this method, rapid recovery and a great reduction in complaints occur.
CUP THERAPY
It is a treatment method applied by vacuuming on the skin to increase blood circulation and reduce muscle tension in general body aches .
